March 9th seems like a lifetime ago already, remember that day? The new NFL year began and all hell broke loose. Brock Osweiler left Denver and with Lamar Miller signed with the Houston Texans. Demarco Murray was traded to Tennessee as the Eagles attempted to scrub the Chip Kelly era from their team history. The Patriots were rumored as a landing spot for every wide receiver on the market and one by one they signed elsewhere, while the silence coming from Foxborough was deafening. “Are they gonna do anything?” was a common question on The Drive. Now, just over 3 weeks later and the moves the team has made have been resoundingly applauded. Chris Long on a 1-year deal, the Martellus Bennett trade and getting a second round pick and and a former first round offensive lineman back for Chandler Jones. What we thought was deafening silence was a tried and true wait and see approach that has helped bring 4 Super Bowls to 1 Patriot Place. Patriots radio broadcaster, Bob Socci joined us recently on The Drive to talk about the Patriots off season moves.
